Introduction to Art Nude Photography
Have you ever wanted to learn more about Art Nude photography but didn't know where to start, who to contact or were nervous about working with a model? Do you feel like your lack of experience could let you down?
We are running a 2 hour course on the 30th of April with time slots at 10.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm which is specifically designed to give photographers a relaxed introduction to Art Nude photography (maximum group size of 3). Our workshop offers a comfortable, laid back atmosphere with the aim of photographers being happy and confident enough to book their first solo art nude shoot by the end of the session.
Part 1 - Model Etiquette
Working with a 'nude' model doesn't mean you have to shoot nudes, but if you do want to then this tutorial will dispel any myths, teach photographer/model etiquette, show how to communicate with the model and will give you the opportunity to ask any awkward questions niggling at the back of your mind.
Part 2 – Lighting
Anyone can take a photo of a model with a flash light. Understanding light, creating different moods and evoking emotion is an art form that can transform any photograph from so-so to outstanding. Knowing what your light is doing, where to look for light and how to massage it into a crafted final image is a complex process and we'll aim to show you what you're looking for, where to find it and how to take control of the shoot with the minimum amount of fuss.
This tutorial is not about working through some text book lighting set ups, instead it will show you how to approach a lighting situation and think through problems you encounter to achieve the desired result.
Mark will talk through each stage and photographers will have the opportunity to take plenty of photographs, putting into practise what they have just learnt. Questions are encouraged throughout and notes will be provided at the end, however, we do suggest you bring a note pad and pen as well.
